Church Sign...

Driving Pavlos to school, we pass a number of Protestant churches that have signs they are constantly changing... most are cheesy quotes or catch phrases or puns. Yesterday we saw the following on a sign...

Body piercing saved my life!

Uhm, yeah, ok. Wonder if that will increase search engine hits to my blog:)

I know I have a bizarre imagination, but not even in my wildest mind-boggling moments can I begin to envisage a scenario where "Body piercing saved my life!" can be either true or relevant to Christianity, even protestantism. :-)

Those *are* odd signs, aren't they?

(btw, congrats on driving! Yay!)

Wow... so apparently the magnitude of Christ's hands and feet being pierced with nails can be reduced to the flaky term "body piercing." Sad. What some people will do for a "cute quote."

:D

That is *so* bad. So wrong! Apparently they are trying to appeal to gen-xers. I can't get into ministry that tries to appeal to gen-xers.
