Pain-free visit to the dentist...

I went to the dentist today to have some long overdue dental work done. The dentist had to numb both sides of my mouth. When he inserted the needle, he said, "you will feel a pinch." I felt nothing. Absolutely nothing. My body was poked and prodded so many times while in the hospital, I have developed a new level of pain tolerance! Whenever I have bloodwork done, it feels like nothing. No pinch, no poke, no feeling at all.

Now there's a positive thing about all your maladies! To have a high pain tolerance is a good thing, I think. My mother has a high pain tolerance....I think she has it naturally. When she gets teeth filled, she doesn't do novacaine. No pain killers at all, because they make her woozy. Me, I have a normal tolerance to pain (natural childbirths, though....) and Hibi--well, when Hibi was getting a tooth pulled, the dentist came out and told us he'd told her that when she has a baby, the word to remember is "epidural." ;-)
