What my 3 year old says when the gears in his head are spinning. So this is a place for me to "spin my gears" (post my thoughts)... OK, fast forward 3 years because my 3 year old is now six years old. I will keep the title the same, though, in honor of his having been three years old once!

It's all terrible. "Put not your trust in men in power, or in any mortal man..."
I was living in NYC during the Chechnya invasion and knew quite a few Serbians. One of them told me, horrified, how the night before on a major national news show (60 minutes or something like that), they interviewed a woman in Chechnya. The translator for the show said the woman was Albanian and telling of the horrors the Serbs had done to their village. My friend said she was in disbelief as she could understand the woman without the translator: the woman was actually SERBIAN and talking about what the ALBANIANS had done to her village.
Once, a very long time ago, I mocked my young Russian friends, "Oh, yeah? Well, at least our government didn't control all our media like you had during communism!" They just smiled and said, "Well, at least we KNEW we were being lied to..."
